Alex Vedrinski

Successfully harvesting turkeys did not seem to be enough for Alex, so the next step led him to the many competitive turkey calling contests available.  After much success there, he realized he had the ability to imitate the gobble of a tom turkey with his natural voice.  Specializing in gobbling contests, he won eight consecutive Ohio State Championships, two Grand National Championships and one World Gobbling Championship.
These accomplishments earned several appearances on network television shows such as The Regis and Kathy Lee Show, ESPN and TNN, along with local TV cable and radio programs.
Soon the indescribable call of a bull elk found me guiding hunters in the Rocky Mountains then it was big moose and black bear in Maine.  He had discovered the most fun of all – mimicking and calling all sorts of game animals and birds…the calls of the wild.
Alex is informative, animated, engaging and hugely entertaining.

Over the years I have dedicated myself to learning as much as I can about the majestic whitetail. I have been blessed with the opportunity to harvest many animals from different counties throughout Illinois and Wisconsin including a couple true trophies. Though bowhunting dominates most of my time, I still love to go fishing for smallmouth bass or northern pike in Wisconsin. When I'm not in the woods, it's a safe bet I'm either working out or playing just about any sport but soccer! God has also blessed me with an amazing family. My wife Kristy is so supportive of all my adventures and is the glue that keeps our family together. We are the proud parents of the next great bowhunter our son Blaze. At 15 months he was already carrying around his bow and stuffed deer. I have a passion for adventure and want to squeeze the most out of each day! My goal is to motivate others to find the joy in life and never take a single day for granted. For me, the outdoors is the best environment to entertain, encourage and empower people. It is a place where I connect with my Creator and get a positive perspective on life.

PERSONAL BIO
As early as I recall, the thrill of the hunt and the fascination of God’s creation have been engraved in my heart. My poor parents were subjected to countless episodes of National Geographic at the dinner table not to mention the endless variety of animals I would collect over the years. As a youngster I developed a true love for fishing and catching turtles at local lakes.
Growing up in the “concrete jungle” of the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago, sports became my main focus during high school. The call of the wild came back though in the form of an invitation from Takedown Pro Staffer, Torry Granrath, to tryout bowhunting on his farm. That trip would change my life forever. Standing on a 10 ft. wooden platform, a little 6 pointer walked right underneath my tree. My heart was pumping clear outside of my chest. After gathering myself, I let the arrow fly and it ripped a perfect star through the center of his heart! Later that morning with blood from the fresh kill smeared across my face, my friends witnessed the birth of my addiction to the bow and arrow. From that moment on, I’ve been on a passionate pursuit of the pump station!
